The much-anticipated "Broken Steel" downloadable content has hit for Fallout 3, and depending on your platform of choice you could already be playing it now. Joystiq reports that several PC players have complained that the install process simply isn't working.

As files for the Fallout 3 DLC are downloaded through the Windows Live Marketplace, the installation stops mid-stream and reports a message:
Not a cryptographic message or the cryptographic message is not formatted correctly. (Exception from HRESULT: 0×8009200D).
Bethesda blames EA Games For Windows DRM-related glitch for the problem. (I wonder if the pirated copies are affected by this glitch? Good idea, subjecting your paying customers to a worse experience. You’re almost better off downloading the game from wherever, then sending Bethesda a personal check in the mail.) Another notch in DRM’s belt!
